So I’ve spent the last 24 hours flying, waiting, and flying. I figure that I’ve had about 6 or 7 hours of sleep in between 72 hours. That’s not too much, but hopefully it will help when I try to go to sleep in a couple hours. I’m hoping that I will overcome jetlag without any problems.

Besides being really, really long, I couldn’t have asked for much more. I was given an aisle seat in the middle section of the plane with a power port for my computer. Even though the plane was ‘full’, there was an empty seat next to me (one of two in the plane). I guess that I got really lucky. I don’t expect that to happen on the way back. It is unlikely that I will get a seat with Empower for my laptop on the way back because Meg and I want to sit together.

The inflight entertainment was awful. They had the sequel to Get Shorty which put me to sleep. I also watched some of Curly Sue and assorted NBC tv show reruns. Luckily I was able to watch the Shawshank Redemption on my computer. They had games built into the entertainment systems, but once again, they were awful. The only thing of use was the map of our progress.

I guess that I wasn’t dissappointed with the food. They definitely kept it coming. I’m full and I skipped the whole middle snack and didn’t eat much of the breakfast. And Meg will be glad to know that I drank lots and lots of water so that I am hydrated.
