It looks like my apartment has everything that I need to return to New Orleans. I have power, water, internet, and cable. So I will probably try to fly back to New Orleans next week. I am excited to get back to New Orleans and help rebuild. Though I don’t know what I have to offer. I don’t know if I will be able to start working in my office anytime soon though. I’ve heard that many of the buildings downtown are unable to open due to low water pressure.

Today I was outrageously stupid and left my cell phone in my pants as I put them in the washing machine. It took me about 5 minutes to realize that my cell phone was no longer with me and I ran to recover it from machine. I quickly took out the battery and tried to dry it. Luckily I was able to find some decent information about drying wet cell phones from Google. I am currently baking my cell phone in an attempt to save it, but I expect I will be visiting my nearest Sprint store tomorrow or Monday.

On a completely separate note, I just got back from my vacation to San Francisco and I think that we saw everyone that we could possibly see out there. It was a lot of fun to see all of my family and friends and to have a week off from everything after the peak of the hurricane season. Andrew even convinced me to join Friendster, so if you are already a member (or want to become one) you should add me as a friend.
